| Shade Lake Campsite - a nice open campsite. Even had this grassy area to set up the tent. There is a campsite just past this one that is heavily wooded, but I liked this one better. Good elevation, too.

Quetico - Unnamed Lake To Grey Lake - pretty much every portage was a boulder field. Very tough walking. Step up, step down, step up, step down...You focus all of your attention figuring out where to place your feet and BAM! you run the canoe into a tree.
Panoramio photo by: Jim Moore | Quetico - Shade Lake To Unnamed Lake - At Shade lake, this is a very hard portage to find. The trail is hidden and initially takes off at an angle, so you can't find it. We spent almost an hour looking for it and we had GPS's.
